Facilitation
I design and facilitate meetings, workshops and retreats for academic departments, research centres, and doctoral training programmes. My approach is to create inclusive, supportive spaces where communities of solidarity are built; participants’ wisdom is valued; and compassionate presence is encouraged.
My facilitation draws on my background in curriculum design and instruction, my training as a coach and meditation teacher, and my experience as a creative and academic. My style is warm, incisive, intuitive, responsive and respectful.
Recent feedback includes: On behalf of all team members, I would like to extend a huge thank you. What you made possible was extraordinary. It gave each and all a space for feeling. It renewed clarity of what counts. It landed differently for each and also felt like a collective, much needed connection. It changed things, deeply.
Workshops
Workshops are offered both online and in person. I regularly offer inductions for PhD students on writing, wellbeing, and productivity. I run sessions for academics on setting priorities, managing time, and creating sustainable writing habits. My specialty is creating warm, friendly and focused online spaces that feel like actually being in a room together.
Retreats
Retreats are developed in collaboration with departments, research centres and other organisations. Usually a representative from the host organisation handles the logistics while I focus on content and delivery. I establish retreat objectives; help determine location and schedule; lead the retreat; and support participants throughout. I specialise in designing retreats to support writing, wellbeing, and community. I also support communities moving through periods of transition.
